LAST DAYS GONE is a Christian Rock project founded by Georgia musician Alex Martinez, whose career reflects a rare fusion of seasoned rock experience and unwavering Christian conviction.
Martinez emerged from the Atlanta music scene in the early 2000s, building a reputation as a dedicated performer and songwriter. During his tenure with Atlanta-based rock bands GRAVITY ZERO and STONETHROW, he performed at many of the city’s most respected venues, including Hard Rock Cafe, The Masquerade, The Vinyl, Wild Bill’s, and 37 Main. These formative years established Martinez as a capable artist within a competitive live-music environment.
Throughout his career, Martinez shared stages with numerous nationally recognized acts, including Candlebox, Fuel, Saliva, Tantric, P.O.D., Taproot, FLAW, and Eric Michael Hopper, as well as iconic rock figures such as Stephen Pearcy of RATT, Steven Adler, and Dizzy Reed of Guns N’ Roses. These experiences contributed significantly to his musical discipline and professional growth.
In 2021, Martinez made a decisive departure from the secular music scene to dedicate his life fully to serving the Lord Jesus Christ. This period marked a profound personal and spiritual transformation, during which he focused on outreach ministry, discipleship, and a deeper commitment to faith. Rather than stepping away from music permanently, Martinez redirected his creative purpose toward glorifying God and communicating biblical truth.
The result was the formation of LAST DAYS GONE, a Christian Rock endeavor rooted in scripture, testimony, and evangelism. In 2023, Martinez completed his debut Christian EP, Morning Disciple, signaling a new chapter in his musical calling. This was followed by Ever Shine Rise in 2024 and Moments In A Bottled Sunset in 2025, all produced professionally in collaboration with drummer and producer Mickey Lee.
Each release reflects a mature blend of rock instrumentation and faith-centered lyrical themes, addressing spiritual endurance, redemption, obedience, and hope in Christ. The project stands as a testament to the belief that artistic excellence and spiritual conviction can coexist without compromise.
Looking forward, Martinez intends to continue performing while actively preaching the Gospel, using music as a ministry tool to reach those who are seeking truth and restoration. His life and work embody the biblical promise:
