Nora Felder, the supervisor of music for Stranger Things, receives an Emmy for Outstanding Music Supervision at the 2022 Creative Arts Emmy Awards.
The Netflix hit “Stranger Things” took home the Outstanding Music Supervision Emmy Award at the 2022 Creative Arts Emmy Awards.
Nora Felder, who was in charge of the music for Stranger Things, The Guardian, Tank Girl, and Seraphim Falls, won an Emmy for the episode “Chapter Four: Dear Billy,” which features the Kate Bush song “Running Up That Hill.”
The song had a boom in popularity following the release of Stranger Things season 4, making the 1980s tune a smash once more. It began to rise to the top of the charts and peaked at number one on iTunes. The song’s music video had received 100 million YouTube views by July.

The series depicts the possession and murder of humans by the wicked Vecna, and how the only way to survive is to “listen to music.” Sadie Sink’s character, Max Mayfield, is taken over by Vecna while listening to her favourite song, Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill.”
Nora Felder picked the song because she thought its lyrics, particularly the line “a contract with god,” appropriately captured Max Mayfield’s experience. Max thought that only a miracle could save her from her pain, and in this circumstance, the song brilliantly depicts her feelings and experience.
In her acceptance speech, Nora Felder singled out Metallica and Kate Bush, whose music also appeared in Season 4 of Stranger Things.
This is the first time Stranger Things has won the prize despite having previously received three nominations. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Big Little Lies, and I May Destroy You are some of the other programmes that have received the honour.
