Allow me to reintroduce myself…” says Dwyné, best known as Tobias Laine. The phenomenal singer, songwriter, actor, model, author and creative director is preparing for his upcoming self-titled debut album “DWYNÉ”.
So what can fans expect from this album? Laine stated, “Before Tobias ever existed, there was Dwyné, and I want my listeners to know him too. This album is personal”. If you recall, Laine’s cover of “Rewrite The Stars” went viral in 2019, which led to his debut single “Chemistry” in 2020. His first EP, Libra Confessions, was released in 2021, followed by Libra Confessions Part 2 in 2023.
Rest assured, we can expect more out of Laine in the upcoming year! The triple threat is set to tap into his artistry for the new year. When asked if there was more modeling and photography in the near future, Laine simply stated, “you’ll have to wait and see”. Laine was featured in magazines like Vogue Italia and Vanity Teen. He walked in fashion shows in Connecticut and also walked for acclaimed designer David Acala at New York Fashion Week in 2021.
Can fans expect to see more of Laine on the big screen? Despite his self proclaimed autobiography film Diary of A Gay Black Man, Laine appeared in indie films in New York, commercials for New Balance, and on television shows including Love and Hip Hop, The Deuce, Power Book III Raising Kanan, Manifest, and a Hallmark movie.
According to the young entrepreneur, although acting and modeling are of great importance to him and his career, music continues to be his main focus. Laine stated, “R&B music has always been and will continue to be a part of my life. When I’m having a bad day or even a good day, I’m able to put on my favorite R&B tracks and be in the zone. I want my music to do the same for my listeners”.
Laine’s self-titled debut album “DWYNÉ” is said to be released January 2025.
