Weyes Blood is making a comeback with a new album, “My Heart Is a Glow Stick That’s Been Cracked.”

This fall, singer-songwriter will release Titanic Rising’s successor.

Weyes Blood has revealed that she will return with the new album And in the Darkness, Hearts Aglow, released Nov. 18th on Sup Pop, after teasing new music for several days.

Natalie Mering, a singer-songwriter from California, will finally release a follow-up to her great 2019 album Titanic Rising, the first in a trilogy that tackled issues like climate change and universal despondency. The subject of hope will be covered in the second, And in the Darkness. Mering said in a statement, “We’re in a fully operational shit show. My chest is lit up by an explosion of sincerity because my heart is a glow stick that has been broken.

The six-minute “It’s Not Just Me, It’s Everybody” by Mering, which she released in advance of the album, begins with her voice floating across the piano. Meg Duffy from Hand Habits and Daniel Lopatin from Oneohtrix Point Never are among the guest performers on the album, which Mering co-produced with Jonathan Rado.

following a tour in the UK. Mering will travel to the United States for a tour that begins on February 22 in Nashville before moving on to Europe in early 2023. On Friday, tickets go on sale.
